Project Introduction
January 2026
Project: Farzandan Iran
Farzandan Iran is an independent, activist-led documentation body. While the DFR Foundation supports the goals and soul of this mission as an independent partner, the project is managed and executed as an autonomous entity.
Our Mission The project's mission is to record the full life cycle of human rights violations in Iran through a standardized and comprehensive evidentiary structure. By transforming raw data into formal evidentiary records—verifying identities, arrest circumstances, legal status, and medical conditions—the project ensures that the truth is preserved with precision.
Our Impact By categorizing critical data points, ranging from specific medication needs to judicial branch assignments, the project serves as a verified repository designed to facilitate international accountability. This initiative operates independently to maintain the integrity of its findings while standing in solidarity with global digital and human rights standards.
